use copper glycinate is commonly used as food copper supplement and mineral feed additive.
preparation copper glycinate is an amino acid salt of copper, which can be prepared by reacting 0.01 mol/L CuSO4 and 0.02 mol/L glycine at room temperature under weakly alkaline conditions, adding ethanol to precipitate, recrystallizing with hot water, adding ethanol to precipitate, and drying in vacuum. The reaction of copper oxide and glycine can also give the product.
